The spaces

We have two different spaces for rent in our building, each of which are named after special people in our lives.

The Beverly

This is the first space we renovated, and we certainly learned a lot in the process. Major projects included tiling the kitchen and bathroom floors and kitchen and bathroom backsplashes, along with a brand new tiled shower. In the living room, we smoothed out the walls with mud to remove the dated textured look, and the bedroom remained mostly untouched, less a few coats of white paint. Now it’s perfect for remote work in Portland, Maine.

The Margaret

We had the most fun designing this space, mainly because it involved the most demo. We knocked out an entire wall to open up a small and awkward-shaped kitchen, joining it with a sun-filled living room. The end result is this wonderful open concept living with a giant slab of white quartz at the center. The dusty rose mantle color was all Nate’s idea (much to Lindsay’s surprise) and the rest of the design fell into place once that color was chosen. The bamboo stools came from a local furniture/staging company and the couch has since been replaced with a deep blue velvet sofa. Work remotely in this Portland, Me Airbnb!
